Holy Comforter is served by the Rev. Jimmy Abbott and the Rev. Deacon Bob Lowry

[section style=”]The Rev. Jimmy Abbott joined the Holy Comforter family as Rector in 2012. 

Jimmy earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Austin. While attending UT, Jimmy discerned a call to ordained ministry. Immediately after graduation, Jimmy enrolled in the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia and earned his Master of Divinity in May 2010. While in seminary, he served as a Seminarian at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Alexandria, Virginia.

Fr. Jimmy served as the Assistant Rector at St. Alban’s in Waco, TX from 2010 to 2012 where he worked with the young adults, youth, and taught a variety of education classes.

Jimmy and his wife, Maggie live in Spring and enjoy reading and music. Jimmy also loves to play golf and write.  You can follow his writing on his blog, “Blogitations on the Holy Life.”

 Deacon Bob Joined Holy Comforter in 2013

Deacon Bob was ordained to the diaconate in 2012. As a deacon his work is to bridge the gap between the wider community and the church. Deacon Bob is active in hospitality ministry and pastoral care. Along with his wife, Louise, Deacon Bob has a large family.
