Matthew 16

12Then they understood that he had not told them to beware of the yeast of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Again we have a reference to the feeding of the 5000, to bread, to faith and abundance.  Jesus warns about the Yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.  The disciples are confused, they have not brought bread with them, they are hungry, they are thinking of the ingredient in bread.  We too, are blinded by the obvious.  This is why I love parables and that Jesus lets us figure things out.  The disciples soon realize that the yeast he is speaking of is not an ingredient in bread, but the teachings that much like bread, are meant to help us grow.  We must be certain to have the right ingredients to build us up in the kingdom of God, grow with the proper teachings of God and not be poisoned by the impure.
