Volunteer Opportunities
Holy Comforter is proud to provide a number of volunteer opportunities throughout our Church and it’s various ministries. Below are just a few of those opportunities. To find a more extensive list of ways you can volunteer at the Church, please visit the “Volunteer Board” located on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall.
Abundant Harvest
Holy Comforter is partnering with Abundant Harvest, located at 24803 Oakhurst Drive, Spring, TX 77386, to support food distribution for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in our community.
Please review the volunteer schedule below and feel free to sign up. If you have any questions, you may reach out to me or to:
Jack Carrel
Director, Abundant Harvest Food Pantry
(281) 772-5884
If anyone would like to form a group to volunteer on a particular day, we can arrange that as well—we will just need to inform Jack in advance.
Volunteer Schedule
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
2:30pm – 5:00pm
5:00pm – 7:00pm
During these times, volunteers help restock shelves and assist neighbors in obtaining their food.
How to Sign Up
Individuals can register for volunteer slots at theabundantharvest.org.
If slots are full, volunteers may email volunteer@theabundantharvest.org for assistance.
Please note that slots open once a month and often fill quickly. Many of the spots are taken by clients, and the organization is working to shift away from clients volunteering so that more opportunities are available to the wider community. The 5:00pm–7:00pm slots are usually more available.
