Volunteer Opportunities
Holy Comforter is proud to provide a number of volunteer opportunities throughout our Church and it’s various ministries. Below are just a few of those opportunities. To find a more extensive list of ways you can volunteer at the Church, please visit the “Volunteer Board” located on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall.
Prayers to Go - Back to School
Join us for “Prayers to Go”, a special Drive Thru Prayer event inspired by our Drive Thru Ashes. Families are invited to drive through our parking lot on Saturday, August 9 to receive a personal blessing and prayer for the year ahead. We’re looking for volunteers to serve as Prayer Partners, people who can offer a simple prayer, a warm smile, and a caring presence for those who come through. Can you give one hour between 9 AM and Noon? Sign up at hcec.link/DriveThru
Prayer Shaw Ministry
July 19 at 9:00 AM in Room 2 of the Education Building - All knitters or crocheters, and those who might like to learn...the prayer shawl ministry is starting again! This ministry creates garments (e.g. lap blanket, shawls, beanies, worry worms for children) that are woven with prayer and offered to others who are experiencing a need for comfort. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talent, contact Julia Brogdon at 1jwarbler@gmail.com
